Spring Install How To
These pages will show you how to succesfully install springs on a b13. In this case the springs are Eibachs and the car is a 1991 SE-R.  Impact tools are highly reccamended for this installation.  Other than that basic hand tools, a jack and jack stands are all you need.  This page will show you how to do it WITHOUT using a spring compressor.
Your first step is to jack up the side of the car you want to start on(front/back) and put the car on jack stands.  Next take off the wheels and set them aside.
Next step, using an impact wrench with a 17mm socket remove the center nut on the strut tower.  The  male part of the strut will spin when you turn when you are trying to turn the nut, use one hand to hold the male part of the strut while you use the other with the impact.  After your remove this bolt the strut will kind of drop, so don't worry about that.
Now use your impact with 17mm socket and remove the two bolts shown in the picture.  You may have to hold the nut on the other side with an adjustable wrench to get the bolts undone.  After you get these out the entire assembly will drop a lot.  Now remove the clip holding the brake line to the strut.  A flat head screwdriver works just fine for this.
Now you can pull the entire strut/spring combo out.  Take the rubber piece off of the top of the spring, put it on the new spring and put that spring on the strut.  Make sure that the right springs are in the right places and the right side is up.  Now you can put the two bolts back in and re-attatch the brake line to the strut.
