Network Topology The Configuration of a network that consists of cables, computers and other peripherals (Type of network topology: Bus Network Topology,Ring Network Topology and Star Network Topology) Bus Network Topology A bus network consists of a single central cable(backbone) to which all computers and other devices connect. A terminator is required at each end of the bus cable to prevent the signal from bouncing back. Ring Network Topology A cable forms a closed loop(ring) with all computers and devices arranged along the ring. Star Network Topology All the computers and other devices to a central device(hub/switch) thus forming a star. |
