As you all may know, there has been a lot of inactivity in aZ. This is due to many reasons:
1. I myself have not been able to participate in any practices, due to unavailability
2. Only a few people show up
3. Baz (aka Summit) just got his computer up and running and can now join us
4. Lack of members
I am sure there are others, but these are the few biggest reasons. I just wanna let aZ know that we are still active. I plan to participate in future practices. I will not be able to make it the Fri/Sat of spring break becuase I am going to Florida. I should be able to make all practices from here on out, MAYBE. We have 2 servers I believe as I hear it from Baz...one is -----]the c4g3[ Home of clan aZ 66.76.49.191:27500------ and the other is the [BS] Midwest server at 207.30.248.16:27500. Make sure you add them both to your favorites. We need to start practicing so we can participate in clan matches... and even the TPL. Let's try and make the practices/games so that this wonderful clan doesn't die out. Sorry for any inconvenience. BTW, if you cannot make a practice or game...let Bahamut and Summit know... at least 24 hours in advance if possible. We need to know so that we can juggle our roster around it. Thank you.
]aZ[-BahamuT-X-

Okay, this is Summit (…aka Baz):
To add on to what Bahamut said, I would like to first thank everyone that helped me get TF up and running on the new machine… it rocks, guys, you should see it. I'm still having minor problems with the lighting, and of course making the adjustment to the new binds is slowing me down. But I think I am ready to start playing again. Also, I managed to crack the copy of Dreamweaver that I found, and also I have Frontpage ready to spice up the web page. So that will be coming together shortly also.
Okay- now about practice. We need to get a more accurate count of WHO IS IN AZ. To be honest with you, I am not sure. If you are in aZ, AND have been told so by Bahamut or myself, AND you are on the webpage (www.geocities.com/az_s3ph), please check and see if your stats under the members section are correct, then Email me back ([email protected]) or ICQ me to tell me if you are still in the clan or not, and also to correct any wrong info about you on the page. If you are NOT on the webpage: also Email me or ICQ me and tell me that you are in the clan, and that you need to be added to the page. This way Bahamut and I can start assigning positions for practice and whatnot. If you get this message and you do not want to be in aZ, then simply reply to the Email saying you do not want to. Thanks a lot guys, that should be about it… oh one more thing- practice times are for now are as follows:

Friday/Saturday 11:00pm Eastern, but be sure you are in our irc channel, irc.mediajoint.net #az, at around 10:45pm EST. Talk to you soon guys… lets try to get this clan up off the ground for once!

NOT DEAD!

Yes that is correct, I am not dead... I have been away for awhile, most of you know why. If you have checked the member spotlight page, you would see that this computer suxorz, and have likely felt extremely sorry for me. Well NO MORE. My absense of late is a result of my getting a NEW computer, one in which I probably spent more money on that I had to, but I was sick of people feeling sorry for me. The problem with that is ON that new computer, I have no HTML program besides Notepad, and since I do not know very much freehand HTML (I use wiziwig progs), I must still make updates on the Mac for the time being. Also, I got Quake working last night. My colors are a bit off, and my controls are going to take some serious getting used to, but I think that it is almost playable now. This means that as soon as I start getting time to attend, I will be at practice!

Which leads me to another point... we ARE practicing now. I still need to talk to Bahamut about some final times and whatnot, but I do know that we have practice on Friday and Saturday nights. Again, when I get a web editing program on my PC, I will make updates that are more specific.

Also... I have not yet had the opportunity of coming to AZ practice, but I dont even need to attend to tell you that our attendance can be better. There are two solutions for this- we can either start coming to practice more, or recruit more members, and cut the inactive ones. (granted, coming from someone who hasn't been to one practice I know this does not hold much authority, but I want to avoid any future problems).

That's about it... oh, as far as my computer goes, just so nobody asks me "what did you get?" and I have to type it all up every time, here is what I finally bought after a year of saving money:

Dell 4100 Series
1000 mhz Pentium III Processor
256mb SDRAM
64mb nVidia Geforce 2 Graphics Card
SB Live! 512 Sound Card
CD-RW Drive
17'' Trinitron Monitor
Altec Lansing 633 Speakers (rock...)

that's the guts of the thing... I think it will suffice.

So for the recap-
1) sorry for going MIA
2) I will be regularly updating the page as soon as I get a web prog for the new computer
3) Come to practice... friday/saturday nights for sure, other nights and times still pending
4) Recruit people if you can

Thanks a lot for sticking with it guys I know we have taken a while to get started. Talk to you soon!

More news!

There has been some activity in aZ since the last post (believe it or not)! I will start from the beginning. Most importantly, our leader, S3ph, changed his name. He is now known as Bahamut. Second of all... we were talking, and though we still have to confirm a final practice schedule, this is what we know:
Practice will be on Friday at 11:00pm Eastern Time, and Saturday at 11:00pm Eastern Time. There will also be one practice on Wednesday night, but the time has not been decided yet. Also, we know that the maps we will be playing are going to be:
2fort5
Bam4
32Smooth
Well6
So make sure you have them for when we start playing. When will this be, you ask? Very shortly. I need to get more of the page done (as you can see, most of the links don't work yet. For now, check out the Members page and the Member Spotlight), and also we may need a few more members to make up for those of you that have lives and may not be able to make it to every practice. So HANG IN THERE!

Other news... the tag has been decided on! It is at the top of the page between "Q1 MTF Clan" and "Obligation for Respect" logo. It's JUST THE BRACKETS AND LETTERS- the spacers and yellow dots are not required, they were just added for effect.

That about covers it... check back here every now and then to get up to date on the latest info.

Well here it is... I'm proud to present Absolute Zero's new home. I hope everyone likes the design... it took me forever! However, I am very proud, and feel that there is no clan without a decent site, so I am hoping it is going to be worth it.

Anyways, as far as the clan status goes-
I have not yet finished the members section of the page, so I do not know how many we have. I think Seph would agree with me when I say we will start practicing once we get about twelve or fifteen. Until then, any recruits you can find that want to be a part of this aspiring clan, and ARE RESECTFUL (notice the slogan at the top... that is going to be a big thing in aZ that I think a lot of other clans do not have), then they are welcome to join our ranks.

Speaking of members and practice, however, if you missed the meeting a few weeks ago here is what happened:
I found out that I have many awesome friends in the MTF community as I asked around and got 5 or 6 guys to help us out (one of which has a server that we can use for backup). I am very greatful for this... and as far as the server(s) go, we should be completely set in that aspect as well thanks to [BS]Theavyguy, another of my long time friends, for the use of his server during the weekends.

Oh... look for improvements and tweaks on this page every few days or so, updated news is important, and you don't want to miss out on the Pic o' the Week (or month) contest I plan to feature sometime soon. That's just about it for news I think... hope everyone likes the site!

OK guys here's the deal for this weekend-

Practice Friday and Saturday
11:00pm EASTERN (make sure you do the time conversions) to whenever we call it a night
Make sure to be on IRC at 10:35pm-10:45pm at the LATEST. Our channel is irc.mediajoint.net, and I think it is #az but I am not positive.

As I have not spoken to Bahamut about anything else, this is all I know.

Oh... I did get my TF working, but I still need to re-adjust to all my new PC binds, so pardon me if SUCK...

Also- I am still making updates on this lame green Mac... if anyone has a cracked copy of Adobe Pagemill or Macromedia Dreamweaver, and would give it to me, I could make updates to this webpage much more frequently. It would be appreciated. Contact me if you do.

That is all. Talk to you soon.
