WHO WE ARE
The "Carlo Deslex" glider flyng association was founded on 1970 from a group of glider pilot who have the same passion : the glider soaring flying.
During this years the group pilot growed as same as their passion. Now the AVV DESLEX association have 14 members , two double seat glider and two winches.
The association have their fly activity on the Airport of Asiago during the week end and festivity.

WHAT IS SOARING FLYING
The soaring flying used the ascending air flow, generated from thermic or dynamic condition,
where the glider flying with large circles climb and reach an altitude from 400 to 4000 meters.
The Asiago airport is the ideal start point for long distance flyes and the northen Alps have often gift great satisfaction
with fly who bring glider pilots to Austrian Alps with distance over 500-600 km.

THE WINCH LAUNCH
Some months ago the glider association have reintroduced the winch as way to start to fly of glider.
This way to launch, very diffused in Austria and Germany, consist in a high power engine
who connected to a drum rewind fast steel cable, of lenght about 1000-1200 m,
where at the opposite cable head is connected the glider. In a 25 seconds the altitude of 400-450 m is reached.
Here begin a new fly..every time different ..every time with new emotions.. This is the gliding flyng.
