For each
of us it is only a matter of time before time begins to matter. The fast
track is no place for a slow train. Of all
computers the one hardest to program is the human brain. I know all
the answers to the questions that no one ever asks me. A cold
heart can burn you quicker than a warm one. What
starts out as a lie can end up as the truth if you are not careful. If not for
pain, some would feel nothing at all. Blame is
one thing that no one seems to want their fair share of. There are
things that can only live as long as there is someone that believes in them. To fear
knowledge, is to be a fool. If you
dare not ask the question, it is likely you could not stand the answer anyway. Your
station in live may depend on what track your train has taken. To a plumber,
pipe dreams are just part of the job. A reign of
terror, nurtures only the seeds of rebellion. To think a
thought that no thinker has ever thought before is hard to do, or so I have
always thought. How
strange in deed is the mirror, and the image it lets you see, for while up, and
down are always right, left is where right should be. When you
draw a blank in life, you must try to fill it in the best you can. Would the
fact that some are black, and some are white really matter if we could not see? The writer
knows what his words mean, and when he can make the reader see it he has done
his job well. The only
thing worse than going off half cocked, is to take off when you are loaded. Before you
can kick yourself for what you just said, you will need to get your foot out of
your mouth. The
biggest moves we make in life take no packing to make. Only
sadness lives where love does not. Before you
wish you were in some else’s shoes, you should know if you could fill them or
not. A life
full of nothing, is wroth just that. Isn’t it
strange that others want to know what you think, but if they don’t like it they
get mad at you? Never be
afraid to be who you really are. There are
those who try very hard to be a real pain, and some are really good at it. The
saddest word is “NO”, and the most dangerous word is “YES”. There are
few looks that can ever match the look in the eyes of a child who has just
discovered something new. I see in
the young something that is missing in many of the older, a little optimism
about life. To fear
the truth is to fear life, and I refuse to fear life. If it
didn’t work, so what, at least you gave it a try. It is much
harder to hold on to something good, than to let go of something bad. Remember
that you are the star of your own show. Its called: This Is Your Life. If you
were to just let yourself go, it’s hard to tell where you might end up. Once there
were three wise men, boy could we use them now! It is
always a mistake to think that there is nothing left to be learned. There is
no road so long that it has not an end. From Kitty
Hawk to the Moon in the last century. What will come now in this new century? When one
paints a picture with words, the canvas can be anything one can write on. If you hit
me, I will hit you back, after all I am just a man, not Jesus. Some fear
the future for what it may bring, others fear the past for what it may reveal. There are
those that know more than you might think, and some think much more than you
know. How can
the days seem to be getting longer, while at the same time the years are going
by so much faster? No longer
will I make the same old mistakes, I think I will try some new ones in the time
I have left. You may tell me that you have no pain, but I
know better, for I have looked into your eyes, and they cannot lie to me. The best
way to keep from making the same mistake twice is to not make it in the first place. If you
want to know what the face of tomorrow will look like, take a good look at the
faces of the young of today. If you
keep missing the mark in life, you might want to consider adjusting your
sights. The ones
who need to listen the most, always seem to be the ones with their mouths open
all the time. In the
city of the silent, all dwell in peace. We are
never stronger than when our cause is one. Somehow we
must find a way to teach the young about honor, it will be a hard job for us,
for we have had far to few teachers ourselves. To reach
the heart of some, you must first get pass their mindset. Even the
strongest must sleep at times, and when asleep all are vulnerable. Time
marches on, right over the top of everything in its path. No amount
of washing can ever clean some things. The fish
needs the water; the water does not need the fish. Where all
else has failed, love may yet triumph. Being able
to say what you really feel, can, and does open doors that are locked to those
who cannot. Time does
seem to slow down, and speed up now, and then, but it never stops. If you
have not had your heart broken yet, you still have that to look forward to. Anyone who
has been in love knows that the heart can still keep beating long after the
brain goes dead.
There are
times when the only thing that works is the one thing everyone tells you cannot
work. The more
mistakes one makes, the wiser one should become, but it does not always work
out that way. No one can
make things all better for you, the most you can hope for is that someone can,
and will help a little. The heart
doesn’t always know best, it knows only when, and where it feels best. When one tries to defend the senseless, one
looks senseless. Honor is a
thing one can only earn, they cannot buy it, one can lose it, or throw it away,
but no one else can take it from them. Those who
will not compromise are most likely doomed to defeat, but there is something
about them that I do so admire. Valor
knows no color, no age, no gender, nor any one home on this world. There are
things that one should not try to analyze too much; one should just enjoy them
while they last. There are
no round trip tickets on the train to hell. The song
of life is sung by all, but there are some that sing better than others. If you
build your road of life along the path of least resistance, it will never lead
you to where you really want to be. There are
times in life when what one must leave behind will be of greater worth than
what one takes with them. There will
never be a greater need for love, and understanding than right now, no matter
when right now may be. Remember
that today is yesterday’s tomorrow. Some walk
right by the very things they say they are looking for everyday, and yet they
never see them.
