Home Course Rules

On behalf of the AUUUUEOTY Masters Rules Committee we ask that you make notice of the following tournament rules:

1) Proper play will be in accordance with USGA regulations for standard golf. Provided that the USGA does not publish specific Two-Ball rules it is understood that the USGA Best-Ball Rules apply to this tournament in all areas that do not contradict traditional scramble rules. The spirit of play on each hole will consist of both players teeing off and then both players moving to and hitting from the location of their team’s best ball. In the same manner each subsequent shot will consist of both players proceeding to and hitting from the location of the best ball. Play will continue in this manner until each hole is completed. One score will be taken for each team on each hole. The team with the lowest 18 hole score is the tournament winner. Tournament Rules will be extended by the following:

1) Each player will receive two mulligans. Remaining mulligans may be used at anytime, including sequentially, until none remain.
2) Each player will receive one Niekro. A Niekro is defined as a one hand toss without penalty from any lie within 25 yards of the green. For example, a player laying 2 may toss the ball to a more desirable position and still be laying 2.
3) Each team will receive one Blitz Package. A Blitz Package is a defensive play in which one team may move another team’s ball a length of up to one flagstick away from the hole in any direction. If flagstick length allows the ball may be moved beyond the fringe and off the putting surface.
4) Regarding bad weather, if a player is in an overly wet fairway position, said player may drop his ball into a new more desirable position. The drop must be no more than one lateral club length away from the original lie and no closer to the pin.
