This index, although incomplete, is being added to at regular intervals. Even incomplete it may help, but it only gives groom, bride, date of event dd/mm/yyyy, locality. Treat it as a secondary resource as I have attempted to be careful but my computer does make mistakes occasionally. If I have a doubt or could not read the writing in the parish registers I have left it blank. Although Civil Registration began in 1837 there is often a missing marriage from this Century, copies of the certificate will always remain the primary source and are available from the PRO or CRO [Cornwall Record Office, County Hall, Truro, TR1 3AY].

There is a slight overlap with Rod Neap's reissue of the Phillamore Index on CD-ROM which is healthy and I recommend if you wish to follow your ancestor's line. Geoff
