This site is named "ATP CHALLENGER TOUR".
This is NOT an official site run by the ATP Tour!
The purpose of this site is to follow what is happening on the ATP CHALLENGER TOUR.
So what is the ATP CHALLENGER TOUR?
The ATP Tour runs the mens professional tennis tournaments. The tournaments have 3 different status. The best players plays on the "main ATP Tour". Behind the "main ATP Tour" the
"ATP CHALLENGER TOUR" is going on. It is for the players who is not too good for the "main ATP tournaments" but who is just the "step under" to break in to the really top of the rankings!
This site (you are now visiting) is focussing on the "ATP CHALLENGER TOUR" - the tour behind the main tour!
And also to be mentioned are the 3rd kind of tournaments. It is called "Satellites" and "Futures", and have even less status then the "ATP CHALLENGER TOUR".
So you can say that this site (ATP CHALLENGER TOUR) is the "middle tour", were the young upcoming players can take the points to go up to the "main top tournaments"! And also were the old players can make points to stay in the top!
Agassi has played on the ATP CHALLENEGR TOUR!
All todays best players such as Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Yevgeni Kafelnikov and Marcelo Rios have all started their walk to the top, by winning ATP CHALLENGER tournaments! So it is here you will see the next big tennis star rise!!!
