The rhythm of life is plain to see
It’s growing from that mystic tree
Of life and death and what goes on
The lord has made a glorious song

To Jesus we are his very own
To marvel at his wondrous throne
To do his bidding is our pleasure
To earn the soul its well earned treasure

A lamp of light a lamp of truth
To shine on us to eternal youth
To follow in the masters ways
To do the things he does and says

The sword of truth cuts deep within
Our hearts to find a new form living
And then proclaim our lord has risen
To listen to the prayers we’re given

So did he hang at Calvary
Upon the cross of destiny
Or was a scapegoat in his place
To satisfy that human race

The mother ship from far is driven
Souls to collect that the lord’s forgiven
And take up to the realms of light
And be ever present within his sight
