In southside Virginia, folks have a great sense of the importance of family, and my Family means a lot to me. This helps explain the many hours I've spent in the Clerk's Office in Chatham, Virginia, searching through the old records for information on Family History or Genealogy. My brother Ray Ricketts and I even got enough information on the Ricketts people that we wrote two books.
