Life

My name is Ashley Dangol. I like watching sports, talking too much, and lots and lots of ice cream. My friends used to joke around that I shouldn't have been able to swim with the amount of sweets I eat, I know, it's unhealthy. Also, I swim, like as a sport. Let me tell you, It's the most difficult in my eyes, and I've tried a few sports before. What kind of sport has a coach shouting at you for breathing too much? Thats right, swimming does. Next, I recently moved here. It's honestly super cold here, but I dont mind it, it's a nice difference from the constant heat. Saipan, the island I lived at, was ALWAYS hot, like winters were in the eighties, every.single.day. Needless to say, swimmers were considered lucky with all the water around them, but even then, the waters would heat up sometimes and let me tell you-swimming in warm water for hours a day was not something too fun. Another thing about me: I'm that Asian that likes math. I'm not trying to fit into stereotypes, but math can actually calm me down or be a de-stresser. Well actually, it can either make me really frustrated or calm me down, but I prefer the latter. I honestly can't think of anything else about me. I have a younger brother who enjoys annoying me to no end, a mom, and a dad. My brother swims too, I'm pretty sure his goal is to be faster than me, my goal is to stay ahead. I think that's the basics about me.

Future Goals

I have a very typical goal, its pretty simple. I want to go to the Olympics. At the very least, I want to make it to the Youth Olympics for swimming. I also want to be a teacher when I grow up, but I really don't want to stay in college for like, eight years. I'm only on my third year of middle school and I'm super ready to leave. Eight years of classes in college? Yeah, I'll do anything to avoid that. In the near future I want to qualify for some high state swim meets. Saiapn had easier competiton, but I'm not complaining about the need for extra effort here. Also, another goal is getting a job in high school, but possibly just during breaks. I really want to be able to balance swimming, school, part-time work during breaks, and possible water polo. I don't know, it's an amibition, but maybe there's a way I can achieve that goal too.
