[08d01] GENERAL STORY

This section often has a long "in depth" report about goings-on in the castle. Though the information is sensationalized, and not very accurate at all, it makes interesting reading. For those who like to delve into the "personal" side of the characters, especially the Fan-Fiction writers, these articles can give one pause, a new view point, or even a "plot-bunny" for a future episode.

An example is the article about Roland and Nei (the two Elves). Arthur, the writer, indicates that he thinks there is romance in the air surrounding the two. The general air of the pair, however, according to the literal words (not the implications) he writes, is that the two are merely friends from a mutal background seeking out a conversation companion.

As one can see, by the example given, Arthur writes the facts, but very much fills in his own opinions and innuendoes, convoluting the story into something else entirely... but it sure does make interesting side-reading while wandering the Castle.

[08d02] ERK'S ADVENTURES

A 20 part adventure story, submitted in small paragraphs to the Castle Newspaper. This is written by Hitman Bravo, and by many accounts is not very well written. In fact, it's some say it's so bad, it's good (as in a B-Movie). By four pieces of evidence, we can almost certainly claim that the identity of Hitman Bravo is none other than Ace.

1: He confides to Koroku [K4] that he is having a novel reading.

2: Kidd discovers [08d] that he is writing an adventure under an assumed name.

3: He comments to the Flame Champion that his writing standard is better than those of the authors displayed in the library. This is during a normal walk-through of the castle, where the Flame Champion make speak to any and all sundry.

4: Upon reaching the library to talk to Eike [G3], Ace gets over excited. He is almost always, after that, found in the library if not in someone's party. Yes, circumstantial evidence, but definitely lends to the general conclusion.

To read "Erk's Adventures", talk to the bulletin on the wall (second floor hallway), and go to the second page of the bulletin.

[08d03] DUTY ROSTER

This is apparently a list of chores or duties supplied by Arthur, though no confirmation is made as to who acutally came up with the duty roster in the first place... it might just be something Arthur thought up on his own. Some of the chores listed are rather amusing. On top of that, sometimes it is fun just to picture the people assigned trying to do the chore mentioned. (Can you see Leo doing sewing work, for instance? Or Nash taking out the garbage?) Again, this adds nothing of genuine story significance, but the amusement factor (and maybe even the 'plot-bunnies") are worth the reading time.
