Avenue School |
| Here John (on the floor) and Bill Scattaregia are
doing demolition on an area to be renovated into a classroom.

Here is the same space, with renovations completed and
teacher Bill Scattaregia standing proudly in the middle, on the first day

| Society for Creative Anachronism |
| Artwork by Master Johannes aus Nierenstein,
from Johan's Burdened Tyger scroll, depicting the Sated Tyger Inn.
When showing people this scroll, Johan would always gleefully point out
that he is actually nowhere in the picture.

|
| The Castle |
| Johan designed the post-and-beam framework for
the Great Hall at this "castle," which friends of ours, Char
Branstetter and Cara McCandless, are building. You can read more
about the castle at their
website.

|
| Johan was also a renowned cook in the
Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands. His many fine feasts included
the second Coronation of Rurik and Angelik, held the day after Hurricane
Ivan hit the Pittsburgh area in September 2004. |

designed for our camp at Pennsic, including the Little House on the
Flatbed and our fold-down kitchen and pantry, go to the Polyhymnia
