| Sailor Flamus watched her fiery attack die off, most of it blocked anyway as her eyes narrowed in frustration. She sure as hell wasn't about to go out like that.. not without scratching one of them. "Illusion's Beam!" A shot of electricity flew and connected hard with the distracted Flamus, electrocuting the poor girl until she fell to one knee. Akana walked into plain view, one of her usual smirks placed upon her lips. Gaia's eyes narrowed at the fight, her hand still touching the pendant. Grasping her necklace tightly, she closed her eyes, calming herself, "Inner..." The elf felt energy collecting about her, her eyes opening. "Nevarra..." She whispered, her attack dying off as she saw the young girl moving about in the shadows. What in the world was the young demon doing here? "Commendable timing, Akana. I am very pleased that you have decided to play with us." Kaos said with a rising laughter in his voice, amused with the way she had performed her attack so beautifully. "These little ones are, however, not as strong as I had hoped. They seem hardly any challenge. You see, watch" With that he raised his sword and charged toward Firian. Firian looked just in time to see the blade coming down, he tried to block the blow with his own sword, but it was merely deflected. The two spent a couple of minutes in a sword duel. Kaos was obviously the better fighter due mostly to his superior speed and strength. Firian soon fell, very badly wounded. "It can hardly be considered a decent fight." He then looked toward Akana, his eyes asking her to tell him what she thought. Nari looked to see where the voice came from. The criticism, she thought, was dull and not at all threatening. Jazon obviously hadn't been impressed either as he answered her challenge with an offer. When the words escaped his mouth Nari felt a slight pang of jealously run through her. She pushed it aside though; she didn't want a warm bed with Jazon. No, she needed to fight. Echoing the thoughts in her mind she suddenly wondered if she said that to try to convince her self. Irately, she held up her hand and flicked her wrist. A thread of water appeared and formed into a dreadfully sharp needle. She looked at her targets and chose Diris who seemed to be occupied with Jazon. She narrowed her eyes and took careful aim then sent her needle flying. Diris smiled but held her fans up for the challenged she already offered. "Your offer sounds tempting, but no thanks. I've got a bed and food and heck with power I could careless as long as we fight." she said speaking her mind. She was sick of talking and started charging towards this guy. "I could really care less if I die either!" she yelled out not admitting the truth that she was immortal. Nevarra spotted Gaia and the young girl quickly ran towards her, staying in the shadows, almost seeming to blend in, despite her pale skin. "I came to say good-bye..." said Nevarra very quietly as she stopped in front of Gaia. Gaia smiled to the girl, placing a hand on the girl's head gently, "I had a feeling, but perhaps you'd like a parting gift... a gift I forgot to give to you." "A gift...?" asked Nevarra softly as she looked up at Gaia with a slightly confused look on her face. "Indeed," Gaia smiled, removing her hand, "All you have to do is say 'Aria Shaden Power, Make-up' to receive it." "I'm not a senshi," said the young girl, shaking her head softly. Gaia chuckled, tapping the young demon lightly on the nose, "Your mind says that, but your heart says otherwise. Use that gift when it feels right for you.. and never any other time." "My father is here," said Nevarra quietly, as she looked off in the distance. "I know.. believe me, I sense the darkness within every pore of my skin," Gaia sat on the ground on her knees, "The true test for everyone will be today." "True test...?" asked Nevarra as she sat in front of Gaia, adjusting her dress around her. "Of themselves and their powers. They live through today," Gaia smiled softly, "I may no longer be needed." "I'll mi..." Nevarra trailed off, unable to finish the sentence. The little girl looked down at the ground. "I feel the same, little one," The red elf smiled, "But it all depends on what takes place today. For now, worry about who is coming for you and the choices you face." "If I go with daddy... Will they leave today...?" asked Nevarra quietly. "No... they are out for blood today," Gaia replied. "Daddy won't leave until he finds me... Will he...?" asked Nevarra. "No, he won't.." Gaia replied softly. "You're always needed..." said Nevarra softly as she stood up. "Mommy needs your help, especially if I am gone..." "Your mother.." Gaia closed her eyes and smiled with a chuckled, "She's considerably weak.. but strong in her heart.." Nevarra blinked, "But if she's alone..." said Nevarra quietly. "She'd reveal just how strong her heart is.. working to get you back," Gaia explained. "She'd get hurt..." said Nevarra quietly. "Yes, but it'd be to get you back.. the one thing she has." "Will you keep her safe...?" asked Nevarra quietly. "Of course I will," Gaia replied. Nevarra smiled softly as she glanced off in the direction her father was in..... "I suppose it's time for you to face your choices. Go now, little one, but remember the gift I gave, should you need it," the red elf stated softly. Nevarra smiled softly and turned back to Gaia. "I may not return...." said the girl softly, with a sad tone to her voice. "We'll see each other again someday, that I can promise you," Gaia smiled, standing up. She didn't care if she was seen or not yet. The young girl smiled softly, took a few steps towards Gaia, and awkwardly hugging the red elf... Gaia smiled, running a hand through Nevarra's violet hair, "Go now, little one, before the enemies here see you." "They won't hurt me..." said Nevarra softly. "I'm not a senshi and they'll know daddy wants me," said the young girl with a sad smile. "Ah, but their lust for revenge and blood is stronger than their wits," Gaia chuckled. Nevarra smiled softly before breaking away from Gaia, disappearing into the shadows again. The young girl was off to find her father... Akana laughed lightly, amused by Kaos's point, "Yes, yes, they're not all that great. Especially since they don't all know how to work together all too well, but that's to be expected." Gaia watched Nevarra take off, sighing deeply as her eyes went back to the battle taking place. Sailor Flamus was getting back up, Akana getting ready to attack again, and the elf had had enough. "Elements!" The red elf stepped clearly from her hiding place, pointing at Akana. The earth under her lifted up as wind swirled around her and held her in place. Akana cursed loudly, remembering this attack, as water slammed into her and light blinded her eyes. The area around Akana went black, as a fireball hit her and she hit the ground hard, sliding across it. Gaia smirked, working hard to hide the fact she was now breathing deeply. Sailor Flamus was back on her feet, as Gaia spoke, "I believe that had to hurt like hell.." |
