Welcome aboard my History webpage. This is an upgrade to my original brief page of the club's history A blast from the past.
I have been a bit more fortunate this time around as I managed to collect a lot more data and more images in order to make the site a bit larger and more informative than the original.
Once again I would like to thank the likes of Martin Mooney and Notts Arab who kindly let me use images from their sites for the original site.
A big thanks to James Anderson (a fellow Dundonian) who scanned the paper clippings I used for the archive pages, also a thanks to his old man Ian, who by sheer coincidence I had worked with in Weir Engineering some years ago. Ian had kept the original papers for over forty years when the club was promoted to the first division in 1959.
A special mention goes to Richy Garvock of Dundee who with a kind heart sent me (a total stranger) Mick Watson's book From Rags to Riches where I got a lot of my information from, thanks as well Mick.
Some of the images especially in the slide shows may be a tad distorted due to different size images in the one frameset, I did the best I could with them and hope they serve their purpose. If anyone has any rare old fashioned fotty's of players or anything connected to the club and feel they may benefit the site please forward them on to me at Arabdownunder and I will try and fit them in the appropriate page and give credits to the donor.
