Chapter 09

After Rick left, I had questions to ask him the next time we meet. But before that, I have to rush over the museum before anyone gets worried about where I am. And judging on how long this little event has taken, I would have to say that my class is already there. Damn! I have to get there quick but how?

I looked around to understand the area around me, and its a pretty isolated area. The hill I ran down was cut off for the river to pass, making a cliff a bit dangerous to climb. There was also the hill I ran, but I would just follow the same direction the class did, I would just end up late Than there was the river, it took two sides, my back and my right.

Where was the museum, again? On the other side of the river And theres no way for me to cross the river. But the museum is right by the bridges, so all I have to do is cross the bridge in a matter of minuets before someone notices Im missing. And the bridge is right across a house.

You see, this area is small, but all the houses are compacted together. Of, course there are no house by the river, but on the other side of the street there are. And just when you are about to reach the bridge, a house is there. Making the street turn and go down the opposite way from the river. After about five to ten house, the street does a U-turn and head back to the river. Right to the bridge.

I cant just run between the houses either, because theyre all fenced in. What a rotten luck I have today. If I cant get there before they notice Im gone, Ill probably get in to big trouble, or worst  But just when I was giving up hope and planning to walk there and accept my punishment. I saw my last glimmer of hope.

Right by the river was rocks leading to the bridge; I could just jump from rock to rock. I could just make it to the bridge, and I could make it there in half the time I thought I would. But the rocks look slippery and if I fall

Stop thinking negative, think positive. I could do this. So I slowly approached the rocks and was thinking about how stupid this plan is. So stupid that it might just work. Each rock was just big enough for just one foot, so timing and balance is important.

I jumped on one just to get use to it, and all was well. It was a bit slippery, so I have to watch out. So I jumped from one to another carefully, so were so close that I could basically walk. But others were so far apart that I didnt think I could do it. There was one that was almost a meter apart. I jumped for it, but I was starting to have second thoughts about it. For when I landed, I almost lost my balance. But I was all right after wobbling about.

I was sweep with relief when I made it to the other side. After few seconds of relaxing, I start to run across the bridge to the museum. While I was running, I realized how much pain I was in. The battle with Jeremys friends has most likely made some bruises, but I cant worry about that now.

When I finally made it to the museum, which seems like an everlasting run, I saw my class right at the entrance. Mr. Schulz was doing a head check, counting how many of his students are there. I ran to the group and he just pointed at me and said, twenty-seven thats all. Now remember class, be on your best behavior. And we all entered through the door.

I caught up to Jenn, Jessa, and Callie; I was sweating and probably looked like hell. So did you get your paper? Jessa joked, shes really mean. Thanks for waiting I mumbled sarcastically. No problem! Dont mention it! Said Jenn as she patted my back. What happened to you anyways? Got lost on the way? Did you have a little walk in park while you were coming here? laughed Callie, although it was obvious that I ran here from my lack of breath and the sweat on my face.

Hey! Didnt I tell you to behave in here?! That means no talking when the guide is talking! our teacher whispered in an angry voice. We all shut up right away, looked at each other with uncertainty. When Schulz walked away, I whispered to all of my friends, Ill tell you on ICQ tonight at eight, ok?  I saw Callie lower her head, and whispered to me, I cant. I have badminton tonight. Cant you tell me now?

And get in trouble? No! I told her. Than tell me tomorrow, ok? She said, she must really want to know. She likes to hear some of my crazy stories, usually unbelievable, but this one isnt.  As for Jenn, well shes usually on anyways. Jessa is too, or so she says. I never see her on, but she says shes always on invisible mode. But I dont believe her.

That day went on and on, things seem to move so slowly lately. Our history trip was the last class we had that day. Although we couldnt talk, we had made gestures. Mostly about our guide talking on and on, we had learn nothing and cared about nothing. That is until the end of the trip, right before we arrived at school. Mr. Schulz told us to hand in our papers, in which I completed. Than he told us, that tomorrow well have a test on our trip. Damn

Its now eight oclock. I went on ICQ and I only expect Jenn to be on. As always, I was right. Jessa wasnt on, and I highly doubt shell be on tonight. My nickname is Aqua, while Jenn was ~!*Jenn*!~. I like the name Mizu, it basically because its my favourite element, water. Which I love so much! A window just pop up on my computer, thus starting our chat.

~!*JENN*!~: Hey! Whats up??????

MIZU: Not much, you?

~!*JENN*!~: nothing really
So?

MIZU: So what?

~!*JENN*!~: tell me what happened what took you so long to get ti the museum?

MIZU: So you really want to know after you so patiently waited for me

~!*JENN*!~: LOL!!! Very funny! Come on! i really want ot know!!!!!

MIZU: Fine, fine Ok. When my paper flew away, I ran after it. I saw that it was heading to the river, so I dashed after it, but Jeremy friend (I think his name was Tom) caught it.

~!*JENN*!~: what the HELL is he doing down there?!

MIZU: Beats me

~ !*JENN* !~: So that was it? Thats what took you so long?

I didnt know what to say, should I tell her the truth? Should I tell her what they did to me? Should I tell her about Rick? I know one thing for sure; dont mention about me fight back. Oh, and about me hallucinating about my past. If I told her that, than she would think Im nuts.

~!*JENN*!~: Hello?!?!?!?! Is anyone home?!?!?!

MIZU: Sorry

~!*JENN*!~ : So ? Was that it??????

Ill tell her. Because she knows more about Jeremys gang than I do, maybe I could get some answers to some questions I have. But will she believe me?

MIZU: No they attacked me.

~!*JENN*!~: OMG!!! Are you alright?!?!!? Why did they attack you?!?!?!?!? Did you fight back?!?!?!

MIZU: Im fine. But they asked me questions, weird questions

~!*JENN*!~: what kind of questions?

MIZU: Things like; Why am I there and Do you know whats going on outside?

~!*JENN*!~: Sounds like they were high on pot!! LOL!!!!!! So how did it feel to be beat up and asked questions from people who were high?!?!?!

How did it feel? Than it hit! I know who they are now! When I was on my knees, being asked questions that made no sense. After being beaten up like that, it all makes sense

MIZU: It felt like I was in front of a jury
