I was born in New Delhi, India in Safdarjang Hospital on 28th October 1981 at 7:05 am. My early infant age was spent partially in Delhi and in Kabul, Afghanistan. I did my schooling from grade 1 to grade 8 in KV Shalimar Bagh. I did my grade 9 at KV No 1, BHEL, Ranipur, India. I came back to Delhi and did my grade 10 in KV RK Puram Sector 4, New Delhi, India and grade 11-12 in KV Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, India.

Amidst confusion of choosing Boxing (I found it glamorous) or Military (It sounds nice) as my career, I ended up in 2 years Intensive Coaching at Vidyamandir Classes, New Delhi, India which prepared me for the entrance to IITs.

I completed B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. I was employed with Ester Industries, New Delhi in their IT Division for Graffiti(It is the touch gesture recognition library for Palm) based authentication for Palm OS for e-mail interface on Palm. I followed my engineering with an internship at IBM India Research Lab where I worked on Low power circuit design using weak feedbacks and on compiler development for massively parallel Bluegene Supercomputer. I joined Mentor Graphics India division which is located in Noida, UP, India on 2nd of August 2002. I worked on netlist processors backend and emulation frontend for two years before leaving to pursue my PhD. My manager and guide there was Mr. Rajeev Sehgal from whom I learnt a lot about EDA and life.

Currently I am working towards my PhD at Polytecno di Torino, Torino, Italy. I work with Prof. Enrico Macii on resolving the Design for Manufacturability issues for modern VLSI systems in top - down approach starting at gate level. I am recipient of Government of Italy's scholarship for the term of my PhD. I am enjoying the freedom to explore and to learn that an academic environment brings.

My family, which consists of my loving Father, my very caring Mother and my sweet Sister, live in Delhi, India and I miss them here.
