Advanced research activities related to Fire Engineering are carrying out actively
through the Area of Strength: Fire Safety Engineering under the supervision of Professor W.K. Chow.
Some works are used in the Research Centre for Fire Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Those research projects are carried out for solving practical engineering problems,
searching for advanced knowledge in fire engineering and maintaining the quality of teaching.
These are essential in achieving excellence in teaching
at higher education institue such as the Hong Kong Polytechnic University where advanced and practical degree courses
up to MSc level are offered with the mission to conduct Applied Research.
The research findings are useful to the industry of both the HKSAR and the Mainland.
