Bilbo Baggins A quiet hobbit fron Hobbiton. He became famous in The Shire because of his adventures with Gandalf, the Wizard and his mysterious treasures. Gandalf An Istari wizard, Gandalf the Grey, forsees events and protects the defenseless people of Middle Earth. Close friend of Bilbo's. Frodo Baggins Cousin of Bilbo, designated ringbearer to carry The One into the cracks of Mount Doom. Samwise Gamgee Loyal servant friend to Frodo. Is very fond of gardens since his job before the quest was tending to Bilbo's yard. Gimli Ax-weilding dwarf, part of the fellowship. Proud of his dwarven heritage, skilled in mining. . Gollum Unique creature, of lineage similiar to Bilbo's, many centuries old and completely corrupted by the ring. He is slimy and likes eating fish and small babies. Legolas An elven warrior, member of the fellowship, from Rivendell. Strider Ranger, rightful owner to the crown of Gondor. Dedicated his life to protecting The Shire from Sauron's evil workers. Arwen Elven pricess, promised to Strider, daughter of Elrond of Rivendell. Galadriel Elven queen from Lothlorien, bearer of one of the three elven rings. Sauron Evil being, forged the One Ring in Mount Doom to control all other races in Middle Earth
