Our goal in teaching ballet is to share the fun, energy, and creativity of dance, but to also give a strong technical foundation. We use the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) as my core curriculum. We have found that, especially for children, this curriculum offers the best of both.  RAD teaches children through creativity, but it also gives a solid foundation for understanding how to use your body, rhythm, and technique.  Through years of dance training we have come to see how critical ballet training is for future success in any and all types of dance.We have seen many girls want to push ahead in their dance abilities and goals, but have found it difficult because they lacked the foundation and technical background that ballet provides.  Every dancer needs ballet training, and for children it is an important part of gaining a solid foundation to build on, and to ultimately reach their full potential.We want every child who comes to my class to have that foundation to help them reach their potential and goals, whatever those may be. We love ballet and we know my background and experience will be useful in teaching each student that comes through my door.
