I've got to the Bains, my host family.
When I arrive at Mottingham Station, I made
a call, then Mr. Bain appeared soon.
They are semi professional host family.
They have received a lot of students, and
made some rules;
you cannot take a shower after 10pm, be quiet
after 9pm, and so on.
Now, there are four Italian tourists and
tow German girls staying in this house.
German girls are going to the same school.
All of them are going back to their countries
on Saturday, so I was asked not to take a
shower for a long time until Saturday. It
is not so good for Japanese, we love bathing.
The family are Rinda, mother, Lee, father,
John, 14 year-old son, and a daughter who
lives in her flat.
John looks sociable, lovely.
Today is the firstday, so I made a lot of
questions. Then Rinda said, "you speak
English well. Some Japanese and Chinese don't
speak English at all. I am glade you speak
English."
I felt really happy to hear that!
Then I went out to look around the town.
Near the station, I happen to meet a kind
old man, and he drove me to the shopping
street.
Today is surely nice day.
In the evening, German girls, Monica and
Catherine, came to my room. They are sisters.
They are polite and friendly.

| 23.Apr.Mon. rainy then clear School |
The first day in the English school.
I was nearly late for school, because of
terrible tube delay.
18 new students, including 3 Japanese.
The video tape introduced about school, and
a teacher showed us school facilities, then
he explained London.
Next, an exam to measure English ability.
The result was I'll join an upper intermediate
class.
I've made friends with some Asian students,
and went to pub.
Of those, two girls named Eriko and
Sung
will be my class mates. Yet, their
conversation
was incredible!
They talked and laughed in English,
it sounded
pretty natural.
I was afraid, "what should I do
from
tomorrow?!"
When I came home, I told Rinda, "I
am
afraid."
She kindly said to me, "it's ok,
you
can speak English well."
I hope so.
