North Face
A route I had wanted to climb for a long time, going straight up the narrowing of the face (seen in the centre of the picture from the col du midi).
The Ice was hard and so progress was harder and slower than we would have liked.
Looking straight down the face from above the narrowing, Rick had earlier got hit on the head by some falling ice from two German's above us, so I lead all of the upper section.
