After the decending from the Tour Ronde by the original route (nice bum-slide!) we decided against attempting the Brenva spur the following day and instead agreed to try the Midi-plan traverse and descend all the way (3000 metres) from the Aiguille du midi to Chamonix via the Mer de Glace.
