How to Help

We welcome volunteers who could help keep our information up-to-date and let others know of our existence. The more people know about us, the more attention would be recieved by this orphanage house. We also looking for long-term sponsors to help fund this orphanage house. With funds, we believe that we can become effective and responsive to the community's need. Volunteering

If you're new to volunteering, do read Charity Navigator's Guide to Volunteering. Additionally, some organisations, such as Yayasan Salam, provide some training to new volunteers. Once you have made decission to involve in volunteering, please contact us directly to discuss how you can help us, the time or days you are available and what type of works are available.

Where the Money Going?

Ask what the funds will be for. A new building? Computers? Conserving the turtle population? What percentage of the donation will go towards the cause? It should be accountable for spending of public donations. You have the right to know and it is the best to kept on track of how the money spent.

Cash or Kind?

Be conscious of the type of donation that you will be giving. Will it be cash, or should it be food rations, clothes and school uniforms or household item? Should the cash donations be project specific or to cover general expenses? Even giving some commited time will be greatly appreciated by the recipient and may turn out to be highly rewarding for you.
