Dresses for Women: $19.99
dresses from Gunne Sax Outlet in San Francisco, CA. White gloves
(Tiff's suggestion) were from Afterthoughts in Sunnyvale, CA. We bought
them earrings and necklaces.
Tuxes for Men: Same as groom, except groom wore platinum and men wore dark blue.
Wedding Bubbles: We found them at Michael's. Manny's mom
and sister decorated them with white
tulle, and navy blue/white satin ribbons from Joann's
Fabrics & Crafts.
Disposable Wedding Cameras: Decorated ones on sale at Diddam's.
Favors: Silver bells, white
starburst tulle, & navy
blue soft satin ribbons with silver engraving all found at Ultimate
Wedding Mall.
We stuffed the tulle with lots of pillow mints because I was shipped an extra
20lbs of candy for free from the Candy
Warehouse.
Shower thank-you's: Disney
Valentine cards because we got engaged on Valentine's Day at
Disneyland.
Invitations: Tri-fold
card with purple and pearl embossing. When closed and clasped, it
would show 1 John 4:19 and pearl candles behind a
bible. When
opened, the candles and bible would separate and the details of the
invitation would be revealed in purple embossed letters. The invitations also included a map
to the locations and accommodation information for out-of-town guests.
Thank-you's: Cards were a purple and pearl card with a dove and ribbons.
Lion Dance: Eastwind South China Lion
Dance Team - Mona
actually found them by visiting a Chinese banquet in LA. Same Eastwind Youth Foundation members that perform at various events in
Chinatown.
Mariachis: They were from Fontana. Mona found them through a referral. They
were absolutely the best, and untraditional.
Chapel: We chose a floral package that the church provided.
We had aisle runners
and many candles as well as lights in the trees (the chapel itself is fairly
dim). Also had a decorated arch up front.
Reception: We had lavender/blue floral
candle centerpieces on a circular mirror. The head table had tulle
runners with bows and our unity candle in the middle. Mona and Dolly
decorated champagne flutes for the entire wedding party. The ice sculpture
was a surprise from the Castaedas. The ballroom itself had just been
refurbished, so it did not require much for decoration. Traditional white decor at all the tables.
