The Band
VIJAY
Vijay is a totally self-taught drummer, who started his early days
in the band as the manager. The actual story starts with one of
their shows at the Y.M.C.A. The regular drummer of Synapse couldn't
make it for the show, so it was up to Vijay to take over the sticks.
Vijay at present is an accomplished drummer with a unique style.
His variations withe the double bass pedal is truly amazing.
Vijay has learnt to pick up double
bass patterns very easily. The intensity with which he drums is
tremendous, there's a whole lot of energy involved. Once he starts,
there's no stopping him. Vijay has also matured as a drummer, from
tackling and going past the stages of intense fast drum patterns,
he has achieved drum patterns that are more in the lines of off-beat,
and basically more challenging.
