WHO WE ARE

How this all started....

A few years ago I was traveling through the Southwest, visiting our National Parks. The Grand Canyon. Horseshoe Bend. Zion. Bryce. I was cruising through Mother Nature’s playground surrounded by beauty -- in a car. I needed to experience it on my bike. But my bike was parked in my garage hundreds of miles away. This happened again when I was trying to plan a trip to Motos in Moab; I didn't have nine days off work to ride my bike there and didn't want to attend on four wheels. And then in Italy, Vespas were abundant, but Moto Guzzis were not. The shame. That is when I decided to start my own business to rent out motorcycles. When visiting NOVA, you now have an option to enjoy the area on a motorcycle.
  • Documentation of the Development Process

    1. Explain to your audience the intent and purpose behind this website. What steps did you take in creating the website that ensured you met your objectives?
This website is intended for people that interested in riding motorcycles, getting thier bikes serviced, or interested in buying motorcycles in future and doing thier research. My goal was to provide information about renting motorcycles, repair and service infromation. I have added motorcycle images to all my pages to spark interest in motorcycles. I have listed pricing infromation for renting a bile from us and service information. I have also included a contact page where anyone can contact us if they have any questions about any of the products and services. This site also serve as marketing site to provide our contacat information so people can find us on the internet when they have questions about bikes. As part of planning this site, I created a basic site structure. I defined the pages and what information they will offer to the audience. Then I created a Navigation wirefram describing where each page will go. Once I had everything planned, I picked color, font and images and started with a basic html and css documents.
  • Defense of the Final Product

    1. Why did you make the specific design choices that you did? For each of your website’s pages, explain your rationale for the overall design, as well as the individual components (colors, typography, etc.). Support your choices with evidence of your consideration of the end user. What did you do to make your website engaging, professional, and easy to use?
I decided go with responsive design approach to take advantage of modern screens. I have integrated full screen images that can scale with different screen sizes. I used top navigation bar with hierarchical pages that are easy to navigate for the end users. I used nutral colors that are easy on eyes and give the site a uniformed look and feel. All the pages have same look and feel and the navigation bar is present on all pages for visitors to eaisly navigate. I have used simple fonts that makes reading content easy and pleasent. Home is the main landing page where users land when they visit our site. Rent page provides motorcycle rental information, including requirements to rent a motorcycle from us, i.e. A motorcycle driving license and insurance requirements. This page also provides them with the list and description of motorcycles that are available for rent. Service page provides information motorcycle services that we offer, for example, Oil change, Tire Services, Engine repair and Customization options. Contat page offers contact information, phone number, address and directions to our business. About page provides information about how our business started and why we offer motorcycle rental and repair services.
  • Opportunities for Improvement and Growth

    1. Finally, explain what else you might like to do with this website in the future. What could you have done differently if you had more time or resources? What sorts of content, capabilities, pages, etc. might you want to include in future updates?
If I had more time and more knowledge, I would have liked to add a appointment booking system. I think sites that allow users to interact appeal more people. I also would have added a cart system where people can pick a bike to rent and pay for it online during the booking process. Given more time, I would have made the navigation collapsible . I'd also like to get better at color selection. I like working with css but definately need more practice and time to fully get used to it.
