OPEN WATER DIVER
INTRODUCTION
Trainee must have achieved Elementary certification. Must Complete 4 qualifying dives in a safe open water dive site. Dives must be under the supervision of a dive leader or above. All dives can be carried out at the same open site.
Practical Assessment
Must be carried out over a number of dives
1. Achieve neutral buoyancy with weight belt correctly weighted
2. Demonstrate correct use of buoyancy compensator
3. Dry suit divers display ability to right themselves when inverted
4. Dive to a maximum depth of 20 metres
5. Use an alternative air supply
