DIVE SUPERVISOR

Introduction

Trainee must have achieved Dive Leader certificate, hold Diver Rescue award, and must complete 25 additional dives in a variety of conditions. No more than 2 qualifying dives in any one day and no more than 2 qualifying dives at any one site. 12 dives must be sea dives. The certified Dive Supervisor has an advanced level of practical experience and a wide knowledge of dive theory. Has also proved to organise and supervise diving expeditions.

Lectures

The following lectures are to be given; DS1, DS2, DS3, DS4 and DS5

Practical Assessment

1. Plan and lead 4 diving expeditions (including 2 boat dives).

2. Plan and execute a roped diver search, during which time the candidate must act as both tender and diver.

3. Plan and execute a simulated decompression dive with stops.
