About me
Hi, I am Amit Rathod.
Right now working with Cordys R&D (India) formerly known as Vanenburg, which is in Enterprise Solutions domain. Before that I worked with Media Lab Asia, Interfaces group for a year. It is a research lab working at grass root level for IT solutions with focus on interfaces that can serve for lower extreme of users and it gave me enough scope for design explorations and exercising methodical approach as well.
I did Masters in Industrial Design from Industrial Design Centre (IDC), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
IDC happened to me after engineering. This seemingly lateral career shift took me to the unfamiliar territories to learn and absorb design with ‘D’ and develop that temperament.
My exposure to interface design started with some of my projects in IDC, and that’s where it began.
When I am not doing design, I play volleyball, watch and talk Cricket, read everything from crap to classics and spend time in general,.. imagining weird things, letting my mind wander making random connections and associations.
