9 November 2001

I'm somewhat reluctant to print this news given the tabloid source but I note that it's been picked up by showbizireland.com and then Yahoo UK added it to their news. According to Irish paper the Sunday World (dated 4 November 2001) Colin Farrell and Amelia Warner have unfortunately decided to "split" after four months of marriage. The article is very short on detail and I've not seen this news reported anywhere else except the sites I've mentioned. If anyone finds confirmation of this or news that it's not true then please do get in touch and I'll post an update.

28 October 2001

Long time no update. I've very little time for the page with my current work situation (i.e. lots of it) but I've just noticed that BBC1 is to repeat Waking the Dead tonight at 9 p.m. Perhaps this will be of use to someone... :))

30 July 2001

I don't think news gets much bigger than this. A friend at work who knows of my appreciation of all things Ameila passed me a page from yesterday's Sunday World. The Irish tabloid had printed an "exclusive" story called "Colin and Teen Beauty Wed in Secret". The Colin in question is 25 year old Irish actor Colin Farrell and the Teen Beauty is of course Amelia! If this story is on the level they got hitched in Hawaii "last weekend".

Here's a poor quality scan of the photo from the paper...

Ray got in touch this morning with a similar story at showbizireland.com Here's the text...

Farrell Weds Warner in Secret...

Irish actor Colin Farrell has got married in secret to his teenage girlfriend according to reports in the press from his hometown of Dublin. The 25-year-old Dublin actor wed his 19-year-old girlfriend Amelia Warner in Hawaii last weekend.

Neither of the couple’s families were at the ceremony. The couple themselves have only been dating for eight months.

Colin has recently been working on Hart’s War with Bruce Willis in Prague. He even borrowed Willis' jet recently to fly himself and Amelia to Dublin to meet his family and friends.

The couple got engaged last month but few believed the couple would wed so fast and without any friends of family present.

The star will hopefully have more luck in his love life then his current film co-stars. Tom Cruise is working with the actor in Stephen Spielberg’s Minority Report and the actor has recently finished work on Hart’s War with Willis both of whom have had high profile separations.

I finally got my video of the BBC's Waking the Dead. I went hunting for it on the day of release with no joy. I ended up ordering it online and it arrived on monday. It's nice to finally have it.

Amelia plays a kidnapped schoolgirl and most of the action follows a team of London police who are trying to find her while working out the links to a previous murder. It get's very Cracker at the end when we discover the kidnapper's motivations. Well worth a look but be warned it's quite dark for a TV show.

Those of you who have the channel UK Drama (I don't) can see it on Wednesday 1 August.

28 June 2001

For a while I've had a wish-list of things I would like. At the top of the list was a repeat showing of the BBC's Waking the Dead, or better yet a video release. I've just checked the listings on blackstar and I've discovered that it will be released on video in the UK on 16 July!!!

I've added Charity's review of Don Quixote on the Movie & TV List page. If you have not yet visited Charity's Lorna Doone site yet then you should check it out. You're one-stop-spot for Doone-flavoured Amelia stuff.

I see that Amelia was made "Babe of the Day" on this site.

Finally, for what it's worth, this site is now six months old (give or take a day). Thanks to everyone who emailed me. Hopefully this little page will be around for a while!

17 June 2001 Charity has provided some reviews rated by how much Amelia is in a particular movie or TV series. You can find them on the Movie & TV List. I've also removed the text from one of the Lorna Doone Photos.

19 May 2001 I found a site with some promotional pictures from Quills so I stole the three Amelia flavoured ones and put them on the Photos page. Quills is now out on DVD in the USA. Lorna Doone comes out at the end of the month. I've also added the Lorna Doone DVD cover as found on Amazon. The UK video/DVD release of Quills is set for July.

18 April 2001 Added a new Lorna Doone link.

13 April 2001 Added four new Amelia photos. Thanks to Charity for sending me one of them.

8 April 2001 Added a Guestbook.

7 April 2001 I just found out yesterday that Take a Girl Like You was released on BBC video on the 26 March. The same day as the Lorna Doone video.

10 March 2001 Added a new ES article here.

24 February 2001 Yikes! I've found another two Amelia pages, and you can find them on the Links page.

Update: Steve has just sent me a link to the Offical Amelia site that he runs: www.ameliawarner.com

10 February 2001 I've found another Amelia page and you can find the link on the brand new Links page.

31 January 2001 I've found another online Amelia article, this time from www.observer.co.uk.

27 January 2001 I found another Amelia article online at www.thisislondon.com.

10 January 2001 A few things to report. Firstly I've divided the site up into different pages. Secondly www.blackstar.co.uk says that the BBC's Lorna Doone will be released on video on 26 March 2001. Thirdly, the Movie & TV list has been updated. Finally I've added the text of the Empire article and a note on a small Loaded article. Many thanks to everyone who emailed me.

29 December 2000: That was quick... I just bought the new Empire magazine this afternoon and there was a nice full page picture of Amelia. So I did a scan and it's on the picture page.

27 December 2000: Page started. I've seen Amelia Warner in three different BBC things over the last few months and I figured she was worth a web page! If she's not careful she could become my favorite actress... I'm on my Christmas break so I've had time to scan six pictures. Five are from Lorna Doone and the other is from Quills.
