Pressure method

Using the palms , the thumbs, or the four fingers, apply pressure to parts of the body, moving inward toward the center

When using the thumbs or four fingers of one or both hands, apply steady pressure, then slowly release

This technique is employed in treating the muscles and joints of the arms and legs and the abdominal region. Since treatment with the thumbs affects the muscles and the nerves, it is used when light pressure causes pain in areas where the nerves emerge from the bone or run close under the skin. Pressure applications should be from three to five kilograms and should last for from three to five seconds. When applying pressure, rest the full weight of your body on your fingertips or hands. It is important to feel as if you were pulling your hands and your fingertips toward you as you apply pressure. Allowing your fingertips to move forward during the pressure application destroys the effect of the treatment.

Since it calms and relaxes hyper tense nerves, this treatment is good for neuralgia and cramps. It is especially effective in treating the calves. Light pressure applied to the abdominal region for short periods improves the functioning of the stomach and intestines. Each application of pressure should be on a different part of the abdomen
