Dr. Ronald F. Price

1953-1958 Assistant "A" at the Municipal College,
Southend-on-Sea, Essex
; taught zoology to B.Sc. General standard, and biology, together with some physics and chemistry, to various "O" (middle school) level classes.


1958-1960 Assistant "B" at the Harrow Technical College, Harrow-on -the-Hill, Middlesex. Taught botany and zoology to "A" level; organized the teaching of biology throughout the College and equipped new laboratories.


January 1960- June 1961 Lecturer in science at Philippa Fawcett College, (constituent college of the Institute of Education, University of London). Appointed to teach physics and chemistry as ancillary subjects to the biology course


1961-1962 English Language High School, Sofia, Bulgaria. Taught physics in English to the IXth year classes, approximately equivalent to British "O" level.


1962-1963 Lanfranc (secondary modern) Boys' School, Croydon. Taught general science and some mathematics on supply here to gain experience of this type of school.


1963-1964 Sarah Siddons Comprehensive School. Another year's general science teaching, to gain experience.


1964-1965 University College, Cape Coast, Ghana. Lectured in Educational Psychology and Science Method, plus some lectures in Comparative Education, mainly on the USA and USSR.


1965-1967 2nd Foreign Languages Institute, Peking, China. Taught beginners' English using the direct method and then was responsible for training a special class of teachers.


January 1971- 91 School of Education, La Trobe University where he taught Comparative Education (specializing in China & the USSR) and Science Method, working closely with Dr. Roger Cross


He is currently Senior Fellow in the School of Education, University of Melbourne, where he collaborates with Dr. Cross in comparative studies of science education. Both are a part of the Department of Science and Mathematics Education.
