Three of the songs [ Take These Chains - Some Heads Are Gonna Roll - The Lodger - ] were written for the band by prolific and eclectic songwriter Bob Halligan Jr.
Four of the songs [ Diamonds & Rust - Better By You, Better Than Me - The Green Manalishi & Johnny B. Goode ] are very famous covers.
The other 220 songs are all original compositions.
Three songs were recorded with the production team S/A/W in 1988, two original songs [ "Runaround" & "I Will Return" ] one cover song [" You Are Everything" by the 'Stylistics' ], but these three songs have never been released. A small fragment of the recording for the cover song is available here however.
The other three songs were all recorded during the Twin Turbo sessions. Two of these songs [ "Under the Gun" & "Fighting for Your Love" ] have never been released, while the other song [ Heart of a Lion ] was released in its demo stage on the career retrospective compilation Metalogy
