The resort is really two resorts in one. There is a long drive way leading up to the entrance area. Tropical is on the left and Cocotal on the right in this picture. Off to the left are the tennis courts and the gym area. Right where I am standing to take the picture is the shop area with an included sports bar.
I had e-mailed ahead and requested certain buildings and  made a couple room choices. We ended up getting a room in building 'S' , on the 1st floor.(One of my choices) Our Patio faced the beach and off the the left is the pool. Those our our windows on the main floor in this pic. The Patio from the bedroom and the window is from the sitting room. We had a great beach and oceanview from our patio.
The buffets was inclosed and located in the main building. Each side had it's own buffet. Both were open for breakfast and dinner. Only the Cocotal one was open for lunch, since the 2 beach restaurants were also open for lunch. The buffets were enclosed and nicely laid out - never crowded. Most dinners were a theme dinner at the buffets.
The beach here was very wide and long. There were also quite a few huts at the pool and on the beach. To both sides of these resorts there was undeveloped beach - very nice for long walks. To  one side the next resort was a 15 min walk away. The swimming area here was very nice.
The long stretch of beach, the swaying palm trees, and the muticolored crystal clear water made for a postcard setting for a lovely  vacation spot.
