| Sirenis Tropical resort was a very nice resort for our winter 2004 vacation. Be warned though the resort is remote and the beaches are not the soft powder white beach of the main Punta Cana (Bavaro) beach. The layout of this resort is one of the best we have seen though. Everything flows from the lobby down to the pool and on to the beach. There are actually 2 resorts in one and you can use the restaurants, bars, etc on either side. Although the 2 resorts together are quite huge it really did not seem that way because of the layout. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I e-mailed ahead and requested an ocean view room in building 'S'. And this is what we got. The best room at this resort I would say. It was great. The beach and ocean were just outside our patio. The pool was just around the corner too. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The pool area for these two resorts was great! It went from on side of the resort to the other and meandered around the beach, restaurants and bars very nicely.There were shallow walkin section on both ends and deeper sections in the middle. There were several bridges crossing the pool so the restaurants and bars were never far away. All in all it was very impressive, especially when it was all lite up at night! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| There were two buffets, one on either side of the lobby. Only one however was open for lunch since both pool restaurants were also open at this time. The buffets were laid out very nicely and never seemed crowded. The food was good - not great, but good. There just was not the variety we have seen in other resorts. There were 8 a la carte restaurants here, however. We ate at 6 of them and they were ok. Our favorite was the Steak House, it was the only one we were sorry we didn't get to try a second time. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Where this resort really shines is in it's service! The staff here were the best we have seen. The staff at the restaurants were very polite and efficient. Tables and dishes were cleared right away. There never was a wait for a table. The bar staff as well were very good. Even when it was busy most of them seemed to keep an eye on who was next in line, so you never had to wait very long for your order. At the swim-up bar 'Fior' was great. She got use to us and would have our drinks on the bar sometimes when we swam up. Other times while sitting there we would turn around and new drinks would be on the bar as we finished our first drinks. This also happened a couple times at the lobby bar too!. The staff all seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. The service was very impressive as was our stay at this resort! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
