My Thoughts on
Natura Park Resort
Punta Cana
My rating:
4 1/2 stars
This was our first trip to Punta Cana after being in Puerto Plata and Cuba. Punta Cana by far is the best area for beaches and weather we have found.
Natura Park is one of our favorite resorts we have visited so far. We were there for 15 nights and hated to leave. The place was very nicely laid out and the grounds were beautiful. I didn't mind walking up front each morning for my coffee - it was like a morning stroll through a well maintained public garden.
The food at this resort has been the best we have had so far in the DR. From the buffet to the beach restaurant to the a la cartes we enjoyed it all. We especially liked the layout of the buffet where the food was put out in smaller bowls which were constantly replaced instead of huge trays which were left out for the whole mealtime.
During the day time everything is close at hand; the beach, the bar, the beach restaurant for lunch, and the pool. There was no need to walk back up front if you didn't want to. In the evening everything you wanted was altogether up front; the buffet, the bars, and the stage area
This section of beach only had two other resorts to the right (facing the water) of Natura. To the left there was a long stretch of undeveloped beach with the next resort over an hour's walk away. This section was very nice for long beach walks. A lot of people walked this section.
The pool area was right off the beach with a beach bar/restaurant right beside it. There was also a swim-up bar under a waterfall at the back of the pool. I spent alot of time in the pool and it never seemed crowded.
The staff at this resort were some of the nicest we have encountered. They were very friendly and helpful. Even the front desk staff were pleasant to deal with - which is not always the case at some resorts. I never had a problem getting bookings at the a la cartes  and I never had to wait in line. We only ate at each of the then 2 a la cartes twice since we really liked the food and service at the buffet
The room was a good size with 2 double beds, a sofa bed, restocked mini bar, large closet, and a 2 part bathroom. I had e-mailed the resort and requested an oceanview which we somewhat  got on the back of the resort away from the 'action' pool side. This we liked since we could sit on the deck and feel the ocean breeze and relax without the sometimes loud music. The only real oceanview rooms were the front suites.
