Chapter Three:

"...And the girl just screamed in my face for absolutely no reason whatsoever."  Chris had just gotten done telling Libby another on-the-road story while they waited for her sister and cousin to get off the kiddie roller coaster.  Chris had wanted to go on it, but it seemed he couldn't fit into the seat very well, so he was forced to sit with Libby on a nearby bench.  And she had made the fatal mistake of asking what it was like on the road all summer.

"You're joking," she said, putting her hand under her chin, resting her elbow on her knee.  "How could someone just scream in your face like that?"

"Hey, I'm surprised you didn't," he said playfully.  "The look on your face when you saw us..."

"Shut up," she replied, lightly hitting him in the arm.  "I am not a screamer.  If I was than I would be passed out by now."

"Yeah, I guess you would be.  Jeez, I've only known you for like three hours and I feel like you're another one of my sisters."

Libby laughed.  "Am I that bad?"

Chris lioved her sense of humor.
If Justin would think with the right head, then he would see that Libby's so different then that Jenn charecter, Chris thought while he laughed.

"Hey shorty!" a familiar voice called from in front of them.

Chris looked up and saw Lance, JC and Joey walking toward them.  "We were looking all over for ya," JC said, sitting himself down next to Libby.

"You should have known to look by the kiddie section, remember Taryn and Matt?" Chris said to no one in particular.

"Oh yea, now I member," Joey said, sitting down next to Chris.  "Hey, Jenn mentioned something about a club around here for tonight after the concert.  I don't know if Libby would be able to get in, though."

Libby laughed along with Chris.  Joey looked at them in confusion.  "Jenn's seventeen, like Libby.  She lied about her age to get to Justin," Chris said in between laughs.

"Really?  Hmm, she looks older," Joey said in thought.  "I mean, Lissy, you look like you're turning 18 but Jenn looks like she's turning twenty-two.  I didn't think she was actually twenty-three, I thought she was like, twenty-one."

"Well she's not, and she's lying to get to Justin.  Why did you guys leave them anyway?" Lissy asked.

"They were getting annoying.  Extremely annoying.  Like, I was gonna throw up my french fries if I listened to them flirting for one more second," Lance complained.

Libby smiled in pity.  "I feel for ya Lance, trust me, I feel for ya.  I've dealt with that for years."

"What does Justin see in her?  I just can't understand it.  She's just like Britney, snotty, obnoxious, stuck on herself...  It just makes me wonder what's going on in his head," JC said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"HEY!  I wanna go on the Comet!" Matthew exclaimed as he and Taryn ran up to Libby and the guys.  "Wasn't there only one of you before?" he asked, realizing that there were four members of 'N Sync with his cousin and not one.

"Yeah, but we decided to join you, if that's okay," Lance said to Matt.

"That's okay.  Can we go on the Comet now?" Matt complained.

"Are you sure you guys wanna go on that rollercoaster?" Libby asked Matt and Taryn.

"YEAH!  Come on JC, let's go," Taryn exclaimed, grabbing JC's hand and dragging him toward the Comet.

"Okay, I think that's our cue," Lance said, Matthew had already grabbed his hand and was tugging on it.

"Hey, where's Justin and Jenn?" Matt suddenly asked.

"They wanted to hang out by themselves, just the two of them," Lance explained.

"Oh.  Libby, are you okay?" Matt asked, knowing that Libby liked Justin.

"What's he talking about?" Lance asked, turning to Libby.

"Umm, nothing."  She caught Lance's not-so-convinced look.  "I'll tall ya later, let's get a move on before I lose my sister and JC."
