Chapter Five:
Woah, did Nick Carter just ask me out?  Why does this not seem like it's real, Ali thought as she stared at Nick with a blank expression on her face.  "Wait a minute, did I hear you right?"

Nick shook his head with the same hopeful puppy dog look on his face.  There was no way she could say no to that.  Within the past few hours, she had become quite smitten with little Nick Carter.  He was totally different then she thought he would be.  Not stuck up and full of himself like everyone said he was.  No, he was such a sweetheart.  He was really modest, didn't think he was cute in the least, he blushed whenever Ali gave him some attention, due to his looks.  He had such a great sense of humor, too.  He was an all around great guy.  But why was he asking out her?  Well, she didn't dwell on that, all she said was, "Sure, then."

Nick blinked.  "You, you will?"

"Of course I will.  Nick, I'd love to go out with you, you're a great guy."  He blushed again.  "And you're cute when you blush, too."

Nick laughed.  "I'm not as cute as you."

"Sure, sure," Ali laughed.  The two had wandered off, away from the rest of the group, and had stopped in front of the Haunted House.

"Hey, let's go on that," Nick said, pointing to the ride.

"Okay," Ali said as Nick smiled and grabbed her hand and led her to the ride.

Once they got on the ride, they found that it was just basically a ride in the dark, not much popped out at them.  After a minute or so, Nick faked a yawn and put his arm around Ali.  Ali chucked to herself, she had been expecting this.  Not like she minded or anything, but she did expect it.  She leaned over on Nick's shoulder and made herself more comfortable.  With that, Nick smiled and silently thanked his lucky stars, concluding that someone up there liked him.

All of a sudden, Nick kissed Ali on the forehead, she looked up at him and smiled, and he smiled back.  Then his expression turned serious.  Ali knew what he was about to do, she wasn't really prepared for it.  But she didn't care.  He leaned down and kissed her on the lips, his barely brushing hers the first time.  With that kiss, they both felt a spark, that was why they both backed off so quickly.  "Dare to try again?" Nick asked.

Ali was unable to speak at that point, so she just shook her head yes.  This time, when they felt a spark, they didn't pull away.
