Chapter Six:
"Nick, Nick, NICK!  Stop it, you dork!  I can't *gasp* BREATH!" Ali yelled as Nick continued to tickle her while on the beach.  The two had been together for a week already, Sarah had hooked up with A.J., and Spring surprised everyone and hooked up with Howie, but the two seemed happy together.  Nick and Ali were on the beach, tanning, when Nick decided to torture his girlfriend by tickling her to death.

"What was that, sweetheart?  I didn't hear you, speak up, honey," Nick said sarcastically, laughing.

"Nicky, if you don't stop *gasp* right NOW, then you *gasp* are not getting ANYTHING tonight!"

"I don't get anything to begin with," Nick said confused, letting go of Ali in the midst of his confusion.

"I didn't mean what you're not getting, I meant what you
could be getting," Ali said, with a slight grin.

"Oooohhh, baby, is that a promise?" Nick said, moving over to where Ali was sitting the blanket and wrapping his arms around her.

"Maybe... just call it an invitation," Ali said, leaning back on Nick, getting comfortable in his arms.

Nick smiled.  "I am so lucky," he said out loud as he stared at Ali's profile from behind her.

"Huh?" Ali said, turning around.  "Whaddya mean by that?"

"I mean exactly what I say," Nick said, giving Ali a quick kiss on the forehead.  "I'm lucky.  I thought I'd never find you again, but fate has a way, I guess."

"Yeah, it does," Ali said, returning Nick's warm gaze.  "I can't believe I found you."

"I can't believe it either.  Two weeks ago I never thought I'd see you again.  Now here I am, holding you in my arms," Nick said, pulling Ali against him tighter.

"Just don't let go," Ali murmered into his shoulder.

"I'll never let go, I promise."  He grinned at the referance to Titanic they had made without knowing it.  "Promise me Rose, promise me and never let go of that promise," Nick said, in a scratchy voice, reminiscent of Leonardo DiCaprio's in the end of the movie.

Ali giggled.  "I'll never let go Jack, I'll never let go," she said in a horribly over exaggerated English accent.

Nick laughed as he remembered his plans for that night.  "Hey, honey, would you wanna go out to dinner tonight to The Wharf?"
(A.N.  The Wharf, along with The Embers Resturant, are real resturants in Ocean City.  The Embers is a night club, but it also has a resturant on it.  The Embers is at 24th street and Coastal Highway, and The Wharf is at 128th Street and Coastal Highway.  The Coastal Highway is the main street in O.C., it runs through to New Jersey.  The Embers is on the same block as the Boardwalk, while The Wharf is much farther down the beach and more secluded.)

"The Wharf?  Isn't that really far down the beach?" Ali said, turning around and giving Nick a confused face.  "And isn't that formal dress?"  (A.N.  I'm not sure if it is formal dress, but for this, I decided to make it a formal dress resturant.  I'm sorry for those of you reading who know, but if you know a fancy resturant in Ocean City, then e-mail me the name and location, since I never went to a formal dress place when I was there, last summer or otherwise.  I always ate at the Dough Roller and Papa John's.  So sue me if I like pizza!)

"Yeah, it is, and yeah, it is.  But I really want to take you there tonight.  And I have a major surprise for you, too, so you have to come."

"Major?  Okay, whatever," Ali said as she stood up and grabbed her body board.  "I'm going out, you wanna?"

"Nah, maybe later.  Have fun."

"Yeah, willdo," she called over her shoulder as she ran off.
