Chapter Four:
"Hey, guys, we're gonna go out for dinner tonight at the Embers Resturant, is that okay with you?" Ali asked her friends.

"Yea, sure, I don't care," Spring said.  "Are we gonna meet anyone there?"

"Well, yea," Ali said, blushing slightly.  "Actually, the guys are meeting us here."

"The guys?  Who, may I ask, are the guys?" Sarah asked with a sly smile on her face.

"Oh, just a few guys I met today," Ali said, telling her friends the half-truth.  They started at her as if to ask, Who are these people, but Ali read their minds and said, "I am NOT telling you who they are, you're not getting anything out of me, so don't even try, we're going on the beach now to get a tan for them, whoever they are, so get your suits on."

Sarah and Spring rolled their eyes at the same time and turned to get their suits on.

"You guys, I found her again!  I finally found her again!"  Nick burst out as he ran into the condo two hours later.

"Found who?" A.J. asked Nick.

"Now that right there was the stupidest question, A.J.  Did you have to ask him that?" Kevin replied before Nick could launch into the story of meeting Ali.

"She's here.  I can't believe she's here.  And she's right there," Nick said, pointing to the wall that faced Ali's condo.  "I swear, something's gonna happen on this trip, I know it.  Something big, something really important."

The rest of the group was ready to knock Nick, but they saw the serious expression on his face instead of the goofy grin they expected to be there.  And they were silenced.  He was serious about this girl, and he barely spoke to her.  This was definately not the normal Nick talking, Ali had had some sort of effect on him, that probably he could not even begin to understand yet.  But he peobably would be able to after this trip was over.

~*~*~

You guys, will you PLEASE hurry your asses up?  They'll be here soon!" Ali whined as her friends threw on and off clothes, trying to find the right outfit.
Damn, I am SOOOO lucky that I didn't tell them who we're eating with, otherwise they'd never be ready, Ali thought.

The dress at The Embers was kinda semi-formal, so Ali had decided to wear a dress for once in her life.  She barely ever wore dresses, when she had to dress up, she wore skirts.  But she decided to wear a dress for the occasion.  Naturally, it was a sundress she picked up at the Boardwalk earlier, at Edwards, Inc.
(A.N. I have been there before, it's at N. Division St. and the Boardwalk, it has an AMAZING selection of stuff there, I was in that store for hours last summer) a blue sleeveless Roxy dress.  It was long and flowey, a basic summer dress.  She was wearing her hair down, and had on a silver bracelet that she bought earlier that day.  Her friends FINALLY came out of the bathroom, and were wearing their respective favorite colors, green for Sarah and purple for Spring.  Ali only had time to tell them that they looked great before there was a knock at the door.

"Why don't you guys stay here, I'll get that," Ali said as she walked toward the door.  When she opened it, she saw Nick standing there, with the other guys behind him, but she mainly saw Nick.  He looked so good!  He was wearing khakis and a white t-shirt, with an unbuttoned dress shirt over it.  His hair was slicked back and he was wearing his glasses for once in his life, which made him look older then 18.  Ali thought as she first saw Nick,
Damn, he looks soooo good.  Wait a minute, why am I thinking this?  I like Kevin.  Or do I?

"Hi guys.  Come in.  Spring, Sar, meet the guys."

Spring and Sarah nearly collapsed.  The Backstreet Boys were standing in the living room of their condo.  Their jaws were on the floor.  A small squeak came out of Spring's mouth, and the only thing that came out of Sarah's was "A.J...  Omigod."

"Okay, guys, speak already.  And do not yell like you did at the concert, or you're not coming with us."

That was the wrong thing to say.  At the same time, the two girls rushed toward the Backstreet Boys and started talking at the same time.  Not saying the same thing, mind you, just babbling whatever it was that was on their minds at that moment.  The boys just stood there, confused, but only for a moment, before Ali took over.  "Okay, okay, OKAY!  That is enough.  We're gonna be late, let's go.  If you two do that again, I'm gonna hit both of you."

~*~*~

Through dinner, Nick could not stop staring at Ali.  He literally could not tear his eyes away from her, barely for a minute, at the most.  And Ali noticed.  She kept looking over at him, sneaking a glance at him here and there, locking eyes with him, smiling at him.  Nick took this as a good thing.  After dinner, when the group went to Jolly Rogers
(A.N. I went here too, this is a REALLY cool amusement park right on the Coastal Highway.), Nick asked Ali if they could talk for a while.

"Sure.  What's up?" Ali asked, smiling a smile that made Nick melt.

"I was kinda wondering, I mean, I know I just met you and all, but I was, umm, well, wondering, if... ifyouwouldwannagooutwithmesometime."

"Huh?  Nick, talk slower."

"Would you wanna go out with me sometime?" Nick asked, with a hopeful look on his face.
