"What? And which we? We meaning Brian Backstreet and his four friends or we meaning me and you?" Hallie asked curiously.
"We meaning Brian Backstreet and his four friends and their dates."
Hallie smiled. "So I'm going. Cool. So where would I be going?"
"It's a release party for Sisqo."
"Sisqo? Isn't he in Dru Hill?" Hallie asked, confused.
"Well, yea, but this is his solo album's listening party, I think it's called Unleash The Dragon or something like that. Anyway, we met Dru Hill back in LA last year and he apparently remembered us and invited us."
"Cool. When is it? I mean, will it be after Ali and Kev get home?"
"It's in two weeks. They should be home by then. Unless they're too busy..." Brian said, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Ewwww! That's my best friend you're talking about! That's sick!" Hallie wrinkled her nose in disgust.
"What? They're getting married, come on, what do you expect?"
"Well, I expected it, but I didn't wanna think about it!"
"Aww, come on, come here," Brian said, holding out his arms to hug Hallie. He tried to kiss her, but she backed off. "What?"
"I cant kiss you now, I'm too disgusted!"
"What did I say?" Brian asked the walls as Hallie walked to the kitchen.
~Two weeks later~
"Where's my Nike hat?" Nick asked, throwing things around the room.
"I don't know... You can't wear that thing!" Brian exclaimed, sitting on Nick's bed, waiting for him to get ready.
"Yes I can, and I will, as soon as I find it," Nick said, looking through his closet. "Found it!"
"Ugh. Whatever, let's get going, the girls are waiting for us," Brian said, stepping over a pile of Nick's t-shirts.
"Yeah yeah yeah," Nick muttered, shoving the hat on his head. "Who's this girl that Cathy's bringing with her?"
"Someone named Lily, one of her old friends from dance class way back when. She'll be going as your date, so you had better get out of your rut and be nice to her."
"Yeah, I will," Nick said, distracted. He was deep in thought. Lily, where have I heard that name before?

"Wow, you guys look great," Howie said, looking over the girls. Jamie cleared her throat to get his attention. "Espically you, sweetheart."
"Thank you." Jamie was wearing a long purple summer dress with light purple roses all over it. Cathy was wearing a short black dress with silver glitter scattered through the fabric (SiLvEr StAr SiStAhS!). Hallie was wearing a long tight red dress with a slit up to her thigh (PROM!). Ali was wearing a short baby blue dress with glittery designs around the bottom and Lily was wearing a long hunter green dress.
Wait until Nick sees me, Lily thought, smiling. I wonder what he's gonna think...
"Come on, let's go, I don't wanna be... Lily Baker?" Nick exclaimed as he walked in the door.
"You know her?" Cathy asked, curious.
"We met in LA," Lily answered, smiling. "Nice to see you again Nick."
"Yeah, same here. Well, can we go now?"
"Yes Nick, jeez, calm yourself. I thought you hated going to these kind of media circuses."
"I do, and I just wanna get it over as fast as possible," Nick said, walking out the door.
