Chapter Twelve:

"Damn cell phone," Justin said to himself as his cell phone rang from inside his pocket.  "Why did I have to take this stupid thing anyway?"  He let go of Hayleigh, who was snickering at Justin's frustration, and pulled the phone out of his pocket.  "What?" he asked, pissed off that anyone would interrupt him while he was on his vacation.

"Justin, we have a problem," Lance's panic-stricken voice said.

Justin's face suddenly grew serious.  "What's wrong?"

"It's JC, he found the paper I wrote the reservations on.  And something tells me that he's on his way there as we speak."

"How in the hell did he find the reservations?" Justin asked angrily.  Hayleigh immediately knew what Justin was talking about, and her mouth dropped.  Justin noticed and put his free arm around Leigh to try and comfort her.

"He broke in the office while I was here.  This was ten minutes ago.  He almost killed me, Justin!  And if he ever gets a hold of you, then he will kill you, I have no doubt in my mind.  And who knows what he'll do to Lee Bee?  You gotta get her outta there, and fast!"

Justin looked down at Hayleigh, who was currently trying not to cry and burying her head in his shoulder, like she had so many times before.  "No."

"What the hell do you mean 'no?'  Dude, he will rip out your spinal cord if he ever sees you!"

"I'm tired of running.  There isn't anything that I wouldn't do to him right now.  If he lays one finger on her, then I will be handing him a body part.  Trust me Lance, just stay out of this.  Thanks for the warning.  I'll talk to you soon."  Without waiting for Lance's reply, Justin hung up the phone and put both arms around Hayleigh.  "We're not going anywhere."

"Are you sure?" she asked, looking up at him.

"Positive.  He's not gonna hurt you, never again.  If he tries anything, then I will kill him.  And I mean it."

The next day, JC's flight landed in Ocean City, Maryland.  He looked around, wondering how to get to Leigh's hotel, he had never been to Ocean City before.
This place is nice, he thought as he looked around.  The perfect place for Leigh's and my honeymoon.

After about ten minutes, he had figured out how to get around Ocean City.  He got to his hotel room, which was about a block from Leigh's.  He knew that Lance must have called Justin to warn him by now, so he decided to lay low for a few days, waiting for the perfect time.  He knew that Justin would never leave Ocean City, not until his vacation time ran up.  He was much too proud to admit defeat.  And that was what JC was counting on.  The day that Hayleigh and Justin were planning on leaving would be the day that Hayleigh and JC would get on the plane and Justin would be floating somewhere in the Atlantic.

JC sat in his hotel room, watching TV for a while, just flipping through the channels.  He came across the local news, and something caught his eye.  He stopped flipping the channels and sat on teh edge of his chair, focusing his attention on the TV.

"Today it has been brought to our attention that we have a pop star in our midst.  Justin Timberlake, former Mousketeer and now 'N Syncer, is staying in Ocean City for the next three days.  His bandmates are not with him on this trip, however, his girlfriend is.  Or at least someone who looks to be his girlfriend.  The two were spotted at a number of night clubs during the past three days, and at a number of resturants.  Justin will be going on tour with the rest of 'N Sync in a few months, playing our very own Ocean City Convnention Center
(A.N.  'N Sync NEVER played the OCCC, and I sincerely doubt they ever will, but I had to put SOMETHING in there.) on August 10th.  If you haven't already gotten your tickets, then better luck next time, because they've been long gone.  In other news..."

JC rolled his eyes.
Girlfriend, he mentally cringed.  She's not supposed to be with Justin, she's supposed to be with me, he thought as the scenes that were just on the news flashed through his head.  Justin and Hayleigh at a park, Justin and Hayleigh sitting on the beach, Justin and Hayleigh walking out of a club, Justin and Hayleigh walking on the boardwalk hand in hand...  It was too much for JC.  Hayleigh was HIS, not Justin's.  She's always been his, since he was fifteen, when he joined MMC.  He would never forget the first day they met...

The girl was sitting on a chair in the lounge of MMC, reading a book.  She looked at be about JC's age, and she was extremely attractive.  JC immediately fell for her.  She looekd up as he walked in the room, after ten minutes of staring at her.  "Hi," she said as she closed the book.  "You must be JC.  I'm Hayleigh," she said, walking over to him.

"Yeah, that's me.  Nice to meet you Hayleigh," he said, surprisingly calmly, considering his mind was telling him otherwise.  He shook her hand, and held onto it a little longer then he should have, but she didn't seem to care.  From that moment on, they were inseperable.  They were in almost every skit together, and they both were in the Music Group MMC, and recorded a duet together.  The two were the perfect couple, they hardly ever argued, and if they did, they made up quickly.  JC had fallen for her, and he had fallen fast.  The two and a half years he had known her were great.  Then she had to move to New York.  JC wanted to badly to go with her, but they both knew that they'd never have time for each other.  So they broke up, against JC's free will.  He wanted to be with her all the time, which was impossible now that she was a few hundred miles away.  But he never forgot about her, but neither did Justin.  That little snot had had a crush on Leigh since he met her.  But she never returned his feelings.  Not until now.

What in the hell made her change her mind about Justin?  He was so wrong for her, couldn't she see that?  JC was the man for her, hell, Justin wasn't even a man.  And he intended on telling Hayleigh when he saw her.
