i'm having one of those days where i have a hundred little projects, and none of them take more than a half hour to do, but i have so many of them that i never run out of work.... which is fine for me today, because that's how my brain is working too. i keep thinking of all these things to talk about, but none of them will take more than a paragraph to say. there's your warning - bear with me.....
i just came in from a bridal shower we were having outside for a girl at work. it was just as dull here as they always are anywhere... a whole bunch of us went in together to buy them a gift, cuz this other girl at work gets a discount at target because her mother in law works there...there were, like, 6 or 7 of us in on it, and we all contributed 15 bucks... and all she got them was a pair of little lamps that probably cost a total of 50 bucks at the most... i wonder where the rest of that money goes? that's a horrible thing to say, isn't it?
poor paul went home sick today. i cooked him cornish hens last night for dinner - i hope it wasn't what made him sick! he seemed to like them. most likely it was being cooped up in a cabin with a sick little boy last weekend. paul's sister in law said she had it for 7 days. god - i hope he doesn't have it for that long!
i'm pumped - i heard on the radio today that grand olde days is this sunday. i love that... strange that i hadn't heard anything before now. indie called and we're gonna hook up with her and tyrone sometime at her salon... since it's right on grand avenue. hopefully paul will be feeling better by then so he'll be up for drinkin' and dancin' in the sunshine!
the only thing that makes me nervous about this event is that there's always a chance i'll run into randy. he goes every year because he grew up in saint paul.... and he know's tyrone from when we were married, so he usually stops by and chats with him sometime during the event - i just hope it's not at the same time i'm there is all.
a friend at work informed paul and i about this awesome ebay deal earlier today... there were 65 pairs of tickets to hawaii up for sale and the bidding was starting at 27 dollars and only 22 people had bid with an hour to go. so we put in a bid and i just got an email recently saying we got a pair of airline tickets to hawaii ford 32 buckaroos! i can hardly believe it! i hope it's not a scam - i guess we'll find out the whole deal when we get them, but i read the whole thingee very carefully and it seems on the up and up. woo-hoo...i've never been to hawaii!!!
so i bought p a dvd player for his bday - and he absolutely loves it! i went to hollywood video for lunch and picked up three movies so we can lay around tonight and tomorrow while he get's better and just watch flix all day. should be good. i'm lookiing forward to a relaxing weekend after the last two hectic-filled ones.
