well, i managed to accomplish everything yesterday that i needed to. i even squeezed in a trip to mervyns to pick up a present for grace before i went to class. the party was fun. i only stayed for about an hour and a half. they had all this great food, and it was hard to resist it, but i did. i figured it was bad enough that i was having two beers after i'd already had two glasses of wine at happy hour.
happy hour was a lot of fun....i almost didn't want to leave to go to class. it's always hard to say how many people will actually show....and yesterdays was a pretty good turnout.
class wasn't as great as the first one. i still had a good time, but i think going after i've had some wine is a bad idea - cuz when i'm a little tipsy i have a hard time sitting still. and my pottery definately suffered. from now on, i think i'll forgo the before class drinks.
my pottery instructor asked me if i had a boyfriend 'cuz she wanted to set me up with her brother who's also a graphic designer. although, she thought i was a lot younger than i am, since he's only 21. i told her i would introduce her to paul when we came to her studio during the art crawl on friday. indie called yesterday to ask me if i wanted to go with her to that - so she's going to come with us. should be fun. i hope the parking isn't a pain. sometimes downtown saint paul isn't real parking friendly.
today i'm stuck here at work for lunch - 'cuz we have a creative lunch....paul and i usually either go out or just go to his place for lunch. they're usually pretty useless meetings where all the "creatives" get together and talk about nonsensical stuff that doesn't really accomplish much. but, i think they make the "higher ups" feel like they're accomplishing something.....so we humor them.
