it's been something like - 8 days since we've seen the sun here in cheery old MN. it's really starting to wear me down. maybe i should buy some tanning sessions just to get my daily dose of warmth and light. i think if it goes on much longer i'll fall so deep into my malaise, that i'll never get out. this concerns me.

i was surfing around yesterday looking for web-rings i'd like to put my journal on, and i came across this superb story about iowa that i'd like you to read. as you may know, i'm from iowa, and the story made me laugh while also making me somewhat long for my home state. the funny thing is, i don't think that was the writer's intention at all, because ultimately she leaves the state herself, but i guess i just goes to show what "home" really is to a person...no matter where it is.
