monday - july twenty four, two thousand - 11:25am

i'm feeling a lot better about things with indie. i don't know why that affected me so - she's always been a good friend to me. i guess the shallowness of it all was just a bit disturbing. nobody's perfect - least of all me, so who am i to judge.

there's nothing more depressing then coming back to work after the weekend and checking my emails only to find that NO ONE has written me. i get so bummed... i look forward every morning to coming in and checking them.... but, i guess i'll live.

i've been trying to hunt down sam for over a week now. i guess he must be on ragbrai (an annual bikeride across iowa that he never misses) - i didn't think it was until later in the summer, for some reason.

i'm so thrilled - i've been wanting a gucci watch ever since i fell in love with this particular style while working in the jewelry department at a younkers store in iowa. well - i discovered one on ebay a couple of weeks ago, so i waited until the last hour of bidding and decided it was worth a try. and i won! i got the $400 gucci watch that i've wanted for 10 years for 60 bucks! how exciting... this ebay thing can become addictive, i think!

as you can see i have nothing much of consequence to talk about today - just sort of flitty things here and there.... paul and i have gotten a lot of planning done for the big day. we've officially decided on september 17 - we got our tuxes, dresses, flowers, minister, restaurant reservation, and invitations done. althought we still need to mail the invites. but, that won't take much time - it's going to be pretty small.

paul found a car he wants to buy this weekend. he's going back today or tomorrow to finalize the paperwork. it's a 1994 bmw 325i. very luxurious - with heated leather seats, a sunroof, and a 6 disc cd changer in the trunk. i'm excited - i've never dated a guy with a nice car - and now i'm marrying one!

i haven't spoken about my snail situation in awhile, have i? well - there's A LOT of them.... to say the least. i think i'm going to have to take a bunch over to the lake across the street sometime soon. i think they'll be okay over there. we found snails in the lake up by p's cabin so i know they can live there.

well - i've jumped around with my topics enough for one day, i think.
