work's got me really bummin' right now. i've been forced to work on a client i don't like to help some people out of a jam - and i haven't received a single "think you" for it. there's other stuff, but i don't even want to talk about it. it's just got me out of sorts. today is supposed to be my favorite day of the year -i don't even remember why. just for some reason since i was little, i've always liked this day. this year's isn't so great - i seem to remember last years being nothing special too.
this thursday i get to go to a fun dealie that i've wanted to attend for 3 years now - it's called "the show" and it's where advertisers in the area compete and show their work in a fun atmosphere. it's a time to meet other agencies and socialize with important people in the biz - i'm very excited to be going. generally, our boss buys tix for all the account executives and creative directors - but lowly art directors like me have to buy our own - but being buddies with mary has proven to be profitable as she has gotten her hands on an extra and wants me to have it. i just have to figure out what to wear - m says everybody wears black to these things - which makes ME want to wear a different color to be unique - i've looked around some, but i think i'll have to look some more one of these nights while paul is busy. |

awhile back my boss gave me a gift certificate at an aveda spa for $100 - and i've decided to use it to get a massage - since i've never had one, and they cost a freakin' fortune. the one i'm getting costs $50 for an hour - so i figure if i love it i'll get another one in a couple of weeks, and if i think it's not worth the money i'll spend the rest on aveda products - which i can never get enough of! anyway, the massage is tomorrow after work, and it couldn't have come at a better time - with the way work has been lately. so, i can't wait! wow - i'm feeling better already... |
