well, i ended up flaking on mary, (again), because i had entered my name in a contest to win concert tickets to see the 'big bad voodoo daddies' - and i won! so, me and paul and his sister went to that instead. it was a really good time. brenda, (paul's sister) and i both got pretty drunk. watching the swing dancers was a blast. paul said he'd be willing to take lessons with me. i'm going to check into it this week sometime. one of the ladies there gave me her 'card' - (it was actually a pen) with her number on it cuz she teaches.
mary was very understanding - i was actually pretty bummed about it. i really wanted to go to stillwater. it sounded like a blast. that always seems to happen to me. i go weeks without anything interesting to do, and then two or three great things fall on the same night! i hate that.
take this weekend, for instance... one of my best friends, sam, is going to be close by for some racing thing he's doing, and paul and i are going to be in iowa for my cousin's wedding - it's like we're trading places! but, as it turns out, it might be okay, because we're leaving on saturday, but he'll be here friday night already, so maybe we can hook up with him then. i hope so, i don't get to see him often enough.
plus - the 'cherry poppin' daddies' (whey are they all 'somethin'-daddies'?) are going to be playing this weekend too, and i had so much fun last friday, that if i were free i'd go to that - but there's no way i can fit all that in.
i chatted with my mom for about an hour last night - which is nothing all that unusual - we usually chat for at least an hour when ever we get a chance to talk. i hate that we can't be there on mothers day and her birthday and stuff. we went over to paul's mom's house, and all her kids were there - and she got presents and stuff.... it was nice.
oh, i almost forgot - paul bought a leather couch yesterday! i'm so excited - it's really nice and it was a super great deal! we won't get it until july though... that was the only downfall... his place is starting to look so great!
