AUXILIARY VERBS

There are two auxiliary verbs in Greek and they are irregular. The auxiliary verbs are έχω (to have) and είμαι (to be). They will be conjugated in the traditional order for person and number.

There is no aorist stem for these two verbs and hence the verb λαμβαίνω takes the place of έχω, while υπάρχω takes the place of είμαι. To see how the other tenses are formed, have a look at the formation of tenses.
